It was one of the busiest and most chaotic mornings I’ve ever had in the woods, with mature bucks chasing does. This deer walked by me at 50 yards without a clear shot. I thought I missed my opportunity. Just about 10 minutes later he came back following a doe and gave me an opportunity at 40 yards and hit him with a perfect heart and double lung shot. Thanks to my dad for continuing to allow me to hunt his property and all his help with his guy!
