I had checked a trail camera 2 days prior and noticed he had been using the area in daylight I had just missed him the day before. So my plan was to sit all day along the corn and use the incoming weather to my advantage. Shortly before 9am this buck was following two smaller bucks through a thicket loaded with doe bedding he offered me a brief shot followed by 20 minutes of shaking and making sure my scope didnt fog up from my breath. I was able to put him down after a failed attempt although the follow up shots were enough to get the job done.
