I was sitting in a stand on a friends property, had 4 doe out in the field and all of a sudden it sounded like WW3 broke out on one of the neighbors property and sure enough they spooked all the deer away into the woods behind me. They were shooting for a solid 35 minutes straight, sounded like a complete war zone. About 7:05 I was texting my wife complaining about how my hunt was ruined and I told her I was gonna get down and head home. I started packing up and out of the corner of my eye I saw a deer enter the field about 70 yds away, couldn’t tell what it was because of several low hanging tree’s, then he started grunting so I was ok that’s a buck, then I happened to catch a glimpse of his rack through the tree’s as he was heading in my direction. He was on a mission just grunting and moving with pace towards the front of the property and as soon as he hit the clearing in front of me at about 35 yds I was able to stop him, made a good shot and the rest is history. This is my third season hunting and have a few deer under my belt, but this guy was by far the nicest.
