Hunting on the ground tucked into some deadfall on a crossing pattern between thickets and a creek with fresh sign. It all happened in 20 seconds. He came out Of the thicket creekside on a trot and was about 30 yards out when I noticed him. He got behind an oak bush so I drew back. Once he got to the other side of the bush he caught movement from my draw and stopped. He was about 15 yards out facing me. I know it’s not the best shot to take but I knew if I hesitated he was gone. I shot and smoked him right where I was aiming. He ran about 35 yards with a large blood trail!
