With the whole family all sitting together on Dad’s birthday, anticipation was high for gun opener at camp! We saw a few bucks and does in the morning hours, and 4 more bucks between 12 and 1. Mom’s buck made an appearance at about 12:45 but didn’t give her a good shot. The entire family was glued to the windows waiting for another glimpse. At 2 pm he snuck back in looking for the hot doe that had been frequenting the area all day. Dad stopped the buck with the classic “MEH” and Mom punched him through the lungs at 40 yards! Her best buck and the first deer harvested with the kids! What a family memory!!!
