First bow buck!!! I have been bow hunting for 9 years. When I was early I was told to pass small bucks. I’ve passed 50 bucks this size in my years of bow hunting. All that passing and not getting experience set me up for failure. When a buck I wanted to kill finally came along I fumbled. I missed. Then in the years following I missed/wounded more deer than I’d like to admit. So I decided to do a complete reset and go for 6pt or bigger. Well November 9, I put the doe decoy out and this guy saw it from across the cut corn and came in on a string. I killed him at 9 yards and watched him go down seconds after. I’m more proud of this deer than most of my bucks that make him look small! Only up from here I thank God for handing me the perfect shot opportunity at this great buck!
