Brooke and I sat the evening hunt where Jarred and I started out on Saturday. Few deer were moving out to the east where we saw Jarred’s buck early Saturday morning. This buck made its way through the woods to our north heading directly for our stand where he gave Brooke his broadside about 15 yards off to our left. She made a perfect shot that clipped the top of his heart and we watched him drop 90 yards into the bean field behind us. This was Brooke’s first buck and first deer ever with a crossbow. She made this the fourth buck taken on our property this season with plenty left in the woods.
