I heard leaves crashing about 50 yards away in the thicket. I couldn’t see until he stepped out 60 yards away from me. He looked to the east and was gone. I then immediately grabbed my grunt call. I hit a few grunts and doe grunts. Next thing I know he right back out of the thicket and coming hard. He got to about 15-20 yards and stuck him. First archery buck.
