Took my son out to sit with me turkey hunting for the first time tonight. Tried sitting in one spot and had to move to a different chunk of state land because someone drove down the 2 tracks. Once we relocated there was only 45 minutes of shooting light left. Sat and called for only 20 minutes and had 2 jakes come in to literally 5ft from him and he remained completely still. I asked him if he wanted me to shoot one and he said yes…Didn’t have time to get the camera on them but shot him at 10 steps. The ole mossberg 12ga did the trick. Let’s just say he’s hooked and wants to shoot one himself now. It’s all about making memories.
