Had missed one of my target bucks with my bow a day before opening day of rifle, branch in the way was totally on me. Didn’t have tons of motivation for rifle hunting because my goal was to get one in bow season. I ended up sitting on a weird day with scattered showers wasn’t sure if anything was ganna be moving but i had been out a few other days like this and seemed to see decent bucks most the time, then he walks out. It’s been around 3 years without a buck because i wanted to make sure the next one was big enough to go on the wall. Let a lot of smaller guys go hopping they survive the year. Got to take him with my grandpas 270.
