This buck came out of a swamp two nights in a row. The first night he was out of range for more than 10 minutes before disappearing back onto the swamp where I could not see. The second night he came out in the same spot, out of range, only for a minute then back into the swamp he went. I was hopeful that since he didn’t stay out in the open as long that he would come out of the swamp on the other end within range at 180-190 yards. It only took about 5 minutes before I saw him coming out of the grass on the near side.
