One of my quickest/hardest shots yet deer hunting. This buck came walking in at 4:18 on my bad side and by the time I realized it was a shooter and processed it I had taken the shot by 4:19. I had about 30 seconds to make it happen and I did. I was shaking with adrenaline after in the rush of the moment.
He was quartering hard away from me, he was about a 140 yards out but I was still able to get a good shot behind the shoulder that exited just under the neck on the opposite side.
The coolest part of the whole hunt? My future SIL got to sit right next to me when I took the shot and made it happen. Was really cool to have her there with me.
