What a windy wet opening weekend. Sat opening morning in a thunderstorm, saw several bucks chasing does even in the down pour. Wasn’t able to get a chance at one at all Sunday or Monday. Went out Tuesday morning and as it’s getting light I see a solo deer jump the creek into the cut beans. Get the scope up and see that it’s a nice mature buck, pulled the trigger on the 450 and watched him run about 60 yds and collapse. After a long unsuccessful bow season it was nice to be able to harvest such an amazing animal. Very grateful!
