My husband set me up in a single tent blind, on the side of a corn field, near some woods. I saw a doe walking in, pulled my gun up and this guy was standing there. First horns I’d seen all season. He was about 140 yards away standing broadside to me. I dropped him where he stood. He then struggled to get up and limped into the woods. I called my husband as he and my dad were hunting in a different location, and said to get over here, I just shot a buck. He didn’t go far and it wasn’t until we walked up to him did we see just how big he was. I almost didn’t go hunting that evening. So glad I did! A big thank you to my husband and dad helping me get that big guy out of the woods. What an awesome experience!
