The date November 20th will forever be a bittersweet day. On 11/20/2010 I accompanied my Grandpa on a hunting trip and sat with him when he shot the last buck he would ever harvest. Fast forward to 11/20/2020 I helped escort Grandpa to his final resting place. Knowing his love for hunting, I packed up my Caleigh and we headed afield to the farm Grandpa shot his last buck. At last light with does in the field a big 4.5 year old 9 point entered the field and left with a 350 Legend round through the boiler room. I know Grandpa was with Caleigh and I for this one last hunt. With light fading fast we decided to leave him overnight and recovered him this morning.
