Went up to Tyler Plains area for muzzle loser, since I did close any deals in archery & regular firearm. On the cold Saturday, Dec 8th I was cooking lunch and making coffee on the tailgate of my truck and a few fellow hunters stopped to talk. I hadn’t seen a single deer yet, very rare. One particular gentleman came by with a black truck and beagle and said he just seen a buck cross down the road. So, I wrapped up lunch, head in the general direction. Got up wind, (not ideal) lit up some smoke sticks, Deer Quest brand, I’ve used tinks a few times as well. Then I sat perpendicular to the sticks, flanking, within a hour. Small buck came trotting right to the sticks.

Not a monster, but many thanks to the man that pointed that out to me.
