After sitting at home on the couch, I decided to take my 2 year old out hunting. Wearing just our clothes for the day and orange.

Walked out to our old blind 100 yards behind house with my son Landon (first hunting trip), broomed out the cob webs and mice mess, had a propane heater going and got comfy in 2 old office chairs at about 4pm on Sunday Nov 21st.

After Landon pointed out every squirrel in the woods, he got super excited about something out the right side window. Which I admittedly just thought, “another squirrel” but wasn’t. It was a buck chasing a doe, coming far south heading north, we’re facing East looking downwind down a narrow path. I threw Landon in my lap, threw his ear muffs on, the 2 deer circled and bolted heading back south. This occurred about 4:45.

At about 5pm a big doe stepped out in the path 90 yards. Watching it through the scope, I thought about shooting it to give Landon the experience or seeing if I could get him to see it through the scope. While doing this, in the left side of the scope (North) the 10 point moving quickly stepped out 30 yards in front of us downwind, by the time it was in the middle of the path I had the safety off, by the time it was on the right side of the path (South) I pulled the trigger and dropped it in the path at 5:10.
