Saw a hen in one of the family food plots. Watch her from 6:30 pm to 7pm doing calls. Heard a gobble long distance away probably around 6:45. He went into the brush and decided to walk into the food plot and do one more call. Than gobbles were alot closer in the feild opposite of me. I quickly made haste till I had to drop into the dirt of the old food plot with my only cover being a hen Decoy. Three toms appeared and surrounded me. Kept calling and finally one came into range. Lying down in dirt raise my shotgun and goodnight turkey. Luck was on side with the sunset to my back which probably kept the toms from seeing me behind the decoy. Shoot it around 7:15pm I think.
