This late in the season it’s super difficult to have an encounter like this one. Only gobbled twice while on the roost. Flew down with a jake and a hen. Landed 50-60yards away. For about an hour of watching him strutting and drumming the hen finally got upset enough and wanted a piece of the decoys. It was a first for me seeing a hen puff up and stick her fan out after these decoys. I knew with the hen coming in the Tom wasn’t far behind her and that was exactly what he did. Found an opening to get a clear shot and after that it was a wrap.
