My name is Chase, this is my second season hunting. My first year I did not shoot a deer so i practiced all summer shooting my bow, and target shooting with my BB gun. September 14, 2024, opening day, I walked through rows of standing corn in the morning to sneak in behind the bedding area. After seeing a few small bucks and does, I heard movement in the corn behind me…it was #1 and #2 buck. I had to get twisted up to shoot from the back side of the tree stand and they smelled me because it was downwind. #1 buck took off but #2 buck stayed around just long enough for me to get a free hand shot.
