Got into the stand a little later than I wanted to, 2:45. Had to sneak into my ground blind in which I already had one of my shooters out in the soy bean field among a few basket rack bucks and 11 doe’s. Kept my eye on one of the shooters but with about 2hrs of shooting light left I decided to wait it out. About an hour goes by and I look out my west window and caught a few doe’s within 20-25yds along with small 8pt and this guy! One of the doe’s caught my movement moving one of the window slabs. She got slightly spooked and pushed the deer all into the field I was facing. Saw antlers move on the side of the hill in front of me at 183yds. Only had a small window to shoot through. Took a deep breath and dropped him right in his tracks. This was my top target buck! Saw him during the summer months and got a few trail camera photos. Only saw him twice during the bow season but never was in range. Didn’t see him once during gun until now! I’m beyond blessed to have everything that happened!!!
