Got situated in the stand along a ridge paralleling river bottom. Dead calm and about 7:55 am, heard a deer walking through the thicket behind me. Saw him come out and got the binos on him and decided shooter right away. He was walking away from me so I hit the grunt tube twice and he came on a string to 20 yards, stopped him broadside, shot, double mule kick, ran hard and expired in the river!
