This year I was blessed to be able to knock a few things off my bucket list. First firearm opener, first buck and first public land deer. After a few doe bleats and grunt hits this buck presented himself at 60 yds behind a tree. I watched him through my scope for what seemed like a lifetime. He finally stepped out from the tree but I still didn’t have a good shot. He was headed to a thicket and I was sure he was about to disappear. Right at the last moment my husband let out a grunt and got him to turn just right for a perfect broadside shot to the heart. The .350 legend got it done and he piled up after 30yds. A true Pure Michigan moment.
