My 15yr old son was blessed with harvesting this deer on the last day of gun season. He had just missed on a smaller buck out in front of him 5 minutes prior when he heard this deer walking over his left shoulder in some standing water behind our stand. Being left handed he waited for the buck to tuck his head behind a tree so he could stand up and turn in the stand to get a shot. Once the deer provided the opportunity he quickly made the adjustments and put a beautiful double lung and top of heart shot on the deer at roughly 70yds. We have rough scored this deer at 135″. I have watched this deer for 2 seasons and couldn’t be happier that my son was able to harvest this beautiful 8 point buck. Being able to share this moment with him was and will always be special to me.
