Opening morning in Eaton County went pretty slow for me with the warm temps and high winds. However, there was a 30 degree temp drop overnight and I knew I had to try again. Sure enough, a doe entered into the shooting area around 8AM and this big fella was chasing her. He was about 65 yards away and gave me a perfect broadside shot for a double lunch placement. Got down about an hour after the shot to track and he was only about 20 yards from where I shot him. Absolutely gorgeous hunt for opening weekend in Michigan!
