I’ve been after this buck for 2 years now. Last year he was a very respectable 8 point and this year he totally blew up. He lived in my head 24/7 from the moment I got the first picture of him this year in the 3rd week of October. I finally figured out where he was bedding after the first week of rifle season, and he started daylighting often as soon as we got snow on thanksgiving. I was on my way to work at 7:25 am on 11/29 and one of my cell cameras sent me a picture. I opened it up and of course, he was cruising past my camera and blind going back to bed in broad daylight. My boss let me out of work a little early (thank god!) and I grabbed one of my best buddies and we got settled in my pop up around 3:30. At 5:00 exactly the .270 got to send one down range and we found him at the end of an 80 yard blood trail. It still doesn’t even feel real. I was also fortunate enough to shoot a great 9 point on 11/23 which you will see on here as well at some point. I might have just had my best Michigan Deer season of my life at the age of 22. What a week!!!
