Did not see a deer all day, it was very windy. He came trotting in seen him out of the corner of my eye on my left, he disappeared into a thicket then got into a clearing at about 70 yards. I hollered at him and he stopped and was facing almost straight away from me, I got the crosshairs on him and pulled the trigger. I knew I hit him and thought I heard him crash in the swamp but unsure of how well I gave him time. Got down and couldn’t find any fresh tracks or blood, as it was dark and had some water in the swamp. Spent a few hours looking and decided I would get some help and look sunday morning. Found him within 30 minutes laying about 20 yards from where I quit looking, 450 went though his side and out his chest with a lung shot and went about 150 yards. Been hunting for 14 years and got this very cool buck as my first one. Has velvet still on the bottom of his left side.
