Had plans to hunt with one of my best buds Nate Spieth. The last time we hunted deer together was 6 years ago and he killed his first buck(8 point) while I recorded it on my phone. This time he came up the day after I missed my #1 buck and was taken by the neighbors minutes after I shot.

This buck came out early and I got the rifle on him and he went back into cover. A few minutes later he popped back out with a doe and I was able to make the shot with my custom built 6.5 creedmoor. My father passed this spring and this was the first year I’ve ever tagged out! This is my best buck and am very thankful to get him after years of passing small bucks! This is a memorable year for sure
