Was about 9:20 and was going to pack up to leave around 9:30, only action I had was a big bodied buck come in around 6:40 grunting herding a doe within 15yds of stand but could not make out points, leaving behind me to private land. About 8:30 among doe came in and was very nervous as she also cut behind me to same private land. Heard a car out on access road go by twice, so was just about to pack up when I saw a deer coming down the treeline two rows over. As it got closer, saw it was a buck and pulled up to get a sight on him. He stopped about 40 yds out and looked back behind him, still almost straight away. Turned to his left and was broadside as he was cutting to my right to head into thicker woods. Stopped about 30 yds out to look back again and I took the shot. Smoke rising, I see he had spun around and was running right directly in front of me for about 30 yds, then cut up and went another 20 and stopped, his front legs buckled, and down he went right directly across from my stand as I was trying to reload. Biggest buck to date and another memorable hunt.
