I took my nephew out for his first time in a tree stand. This is my fourth archery season and up until now I hadn’t gotten a deer with my bow or a buck with anything. We had been sitting for about 2 hrs when two button bucks came cruising through and 5 minutes later my nephew spotted this one step out. Looked like he was gonna walk the other way but he made a U turn and came back to the clearing I cut back in the spring. Was perfectly broadside at 20 yards and he only ran about 100 yards after a double lung shot.
