Been hunting hard all season, and was being very selective (waiting for a double bearded Tom I’ve been seeing), but with the crazy weather, and smarter than me birds, I took until the last morning of the season!! More gobbling than I expected.. Was watching a solo hen cross the field, and out of the woods came 2 nice Toms.. As had happened on almost every hunt prior, they came out strutting and held up 100 yards out, showing off to the hen, who just wouldn’t move!. patience paid off.. as soon as she walked off, after about 45mins, they came walking in.. when they were within 50 yards I pulled the trigger, but to my horror, my gun just went click! I cycled another round, and it jammed.. at this point, I figured it was all over, but, after freeing the round and loading another, it finally came together!! Whew! Thank God!!😀🦃
