I had photos of him the night before. So I went out in the morning seen some smaller bucks and bunch of does, then later I was just getting ready to climb down and go home for the morning and as I stood up and turned around I seen him back behind me on another property about 60 yards away he was in thick brush so I gave him a grunt he stopped looked then kept moving around grunted again nothing he then wondered off over the hill and I didn’t see him anymore figured things happen for a reason so I left went home went back out around 3:15 sat out there wind was strong and not in my favor so I already thought I won’t see much but I’ll stay and wait I’m scanning behind me and I look out in the field ahead and from about 500 yards I see deer running leaping higher than I’ve seen deer run before and filling hind them was this guy by then buck fever sets in as I seen him they get up 50 yards from my stand I grunt he stops giving me a shot so I took it. Missed shit low so he turns around gives me another shot intake it took his front legs out he takes off headed for the woods I get down quick and ran after him as he was headed to another property in the marsh driving himself with rear legs I run up yell at him and had to put another shot in him for the kill and that I found out why things happen for a reason.
