Walking out as first shooting light came due to waiting for cough medicine to kick in. 8 point came out following a doe as I was still getting set up sitting on the ground. Shot him at 120yrds and ran off. Waited till 9 to go track, dragged him to field edge and flipped him over realizing this was the buck I didn’t recover bow season. I called a buddy and while on the phone the 6 point came running in with does all the way to 100 yards where I shot him freehand while my buddy listened to it all happen on speaker
