Had pictures of this buck using a funnel quite frequently in September. He disappeared for the majority of October. He finally crossed paths with my trail cam on the afternoon of November 7th.
The following morning, I slipped back into the funnel for an all day sit. As I was leaning back to adjust my saddle around 2 pm, I caught a glimpse of something moving out of the brush to my right. There he was, 80 yards away, headed right to me.
He tore up a few small trees as he made his way to the runway. He turned to give me a 30-yard shot. He only ran 40 yards, stood there for a few seconds, and tipped over. Always great when a plan comes together, thanks for the chase ‘ole fella!
