Opening day afternoon sit was a snowy one so it was hard to see out of my groundblind. I decided to get out and go check a few fields I knew would have pressure from other public land hunters and lone behold from the road I saw him bedded down in some pheasant grass. I was on a low spot of the road and he was on top of a knob so just his head and rack was visible so I decided to pull over real quick and do a stalk on him. After about a half hour of slowly crawling through the tall grass and snow to a better position I felt I was close enough and his attention was to the right of me on another hunter walking down the field. I put the crosshairs on him and the rest is history.
