First year hunting public and to be honest I didn’t have the highest hopes after a slow bow season. I was sitting a new piece of public land after being skunked opening morning on another chunk of public, we made the move about 1pm and my brother and I set up on a ridge, we seen two deer about 150 yards out and about 2 minutes later I heard crashing coming up the ridge and that’s when he popped over ahead of the doe, stopped him and dropped him in his tracks at 30 yards!
