On Sunday October 3rd I ran a stand out to a bottle neck of hardwoods separating the swamp and the bean field. At last light I had a decent buck come through that I initially thought to be a shooter however after a few observations I questioned his size in the low light conditions.

I checked the wind Wednesday morning at work and B lined it home put my clothes in the Scent Crusher bag showered up real quick and headed back so I could hopefully get another look or see what the cameras had captured.

At 630 it was like Someone flipped on the switch and deer started pouring out into the field. After an hour of watching several does and fawns I turned to catch this big boy entering the field 30 yrds to the north of me.

I instantly knew he was a mature buck by his body size, literally doubling 2 does that were in the corner of the field near him. When the pin settled on his shoulder at full draw and let it loose. After a 150yrd track we found him piled up in the Swamp.

His dressed weight at Chesters Meats and Wild Game Processing in Kalamazoo tipped the scales at 214lbs.
