After a few miscues to start the night, I decided to pass a little 4pt, because my boyfriend was confident he could get me a bigger buck. It didnt take long less than ten minutes after the 4pt walked off this buck came out to the cut corn from the exact same trail. It worked really nice having my boyfriend and his brother in the blind with me, that way one of them could film and the other could just talk me through what was about to happen. This is the first deer I have ever even shot at so the nerves were at an all time high yet a strange calmness fell upon me as we decided this was a perfect buck for me to harvest as my first deer. I took the 115 yard shot with my mossberg 20 gauge, the deer bounced into the swamp where he had came from. We watched the footage back to see I made a perfect double lung shot. The track job was short and sweet, since he only went about 40 yards from where I shot him. It’s a hunt I will never forget!
