I was so excited my first youth season was finally here! I had been waiting and practicing shooting since last summer. My dad and I were hunting out of a ground blind, and was more than ready to shoot the first legal deer that came out. Less than an hour before dark it finally happened. A big doe stepped out at 40 yds. I had the scope on her and waited for her to turn broadside. As I waited, I saw a big rack appear behind her. The big 8 came in quick and gave me a perfect broadside shot at 57 yds! My first deer!
