The first year I ever went bow hunting was back in 2015. After years of patience, practice, and dedication with no reward in sight, everything finally came together a full decade later. All those hours of target practice were finally put to the test.

At just 10 yards away, the buck stood perfectly broadside. I drew back, steadied my breathing, and let the arrow fly. Wap!—that unmistakable sound of a double lung hit. He let out an initial burp as he bolted 50 yards before tumbling down with a loud crash.

It wasn’t until ten minutes later, after I knew he was down for good, that the buck fever finally set in. My hands shook, my heart raced, and I couldn’t help but smile and thank God.

I’m doing good because my God is greater. What a wonderful blessing and an unforgettable hunt!
