Blessed to harvest such a beautiful deer. Initially saw him at 80 yards checking a scrape. Saw him approaching my position down wind of me in a swamp thicket and then lost sight of him. I hit the grunt call twice and after a while, I had 2 doe’s passing through in front of me. Observing them I noticed some movement coming from the swamp to my right and he came out strutting with his head down a bit. He turned broadside and ranged him at 55 yards and made the shot. Thankful for such an awesome hunt.
