Stalked him while he was bedded along side my pond got to about 30 yards stood up he took 2 steps and I made a great shot on him. He decided he would swim out to the middle of our pond and made it about 3/4 of the way back and died. So I got to go for a swim and get him. Once I got hands on him I found that he had been shot in the back hock weeks ago. Unbelievable story and a heck of a deer!!
