This was only my second chance to go sit since opening day. Just got in my stand and about fifteen minutes into my hunt I started hearing movement. Out walk this nice four point. It kept coming straight for me and I almost took a shot but really didn’t want to shoot a 4 point. Then I heard rustling and saw the rack walk out of the brush following that four point. He gave me a side view and I was afraid he would go back in the trees. It was a long distance but I decided to give it a try. 170 yards across the ditch with one shot. He took off in my direction and jumped the ditch and then he fell. I couldn’t believe it. Hadn’t been seeing a thing out here.
