4 years history with him and finally put him on the hit list for this season. Lots of velvet footage from the spotting scope and countless trail cam photos. When I seen him on the morning of the 23rd he was slowly trailing a doe and I went to range my shooting lane only to find out my rangefinder was dead! Frantically calling my dad quick to ask him how far he was when he seen him earlier in the season in the same spot. Getting a guess of around 180 yards I dial my scope and squeeze on off. When the smoke settles I can’t see anything. Only went 50 yards and the rest was history!
