My son and I saw the buck on camera for the first time November 1, at 1045 am. We went out that night and the buck showed up at 15 yds from my elevated blind. We watched him for 10 minutes as he went behind us and then returned down the same trail eventually walking in front of the window we had his crossbow set up. He stopped in a spot we didn’t have a shot but then saw a doe across the food plot. He bolted to chase her and I grunted to stop him at 30 yds. My 9 year old son took the shot hitting the bottom of the heart. He ran 15 yds off the food plot and piled up. Grey said, “this is the best day of my life,” with eyebrows raised. Nothing better as a father!
