Another successful annual trip from Vermont. Up in my climbing stand. Doe bedded about 40 yards away. Could see this guy coming straight towards me off in the distance. He smelled the doe and went straight towards her. Bumped her out of the bed and they both turned and trotted directly away from me. At about 80 yards he finally stopped, quartering away. The .450 Bushmaster spoke, the buck kicked and ran. He stopped again but didn’t go down. I shot again and the big deer went down.
