Yesterday was an exciting day in the woods, if it wasn’t for the moments that make us uncomfortable, we would never experience growth! This is why I love hunting so much! Different realm, different zip code, different Turkey load and a few “firsts” today!

The toms didn’t want to play, they were henned up. Started the morning in the blind at 5am, toms came down from the roost but were fixated on the hens they were with, so came back for afternoon hunt. At 6:30, 8 jakes came in the field and 2 come to check the decoys out and I was able to capitalize on the opportunity and make the shot count! 10 hours in the blind today paid off, dodged the thunderstorms and lots of patience!
