After begging my mom to go hunting all week. We headed in the woods for the morning roost.

We worked this bird for almost an hour. He was close but he wasn’t closing the distance. My mom moved the decoy to where he could just see the front half and that was all it took.

It wasn’t five minutes and a hen came over to check it out, with only being ten yards away in the open I thought we were busted. Then this big guy came from around a corner and stood behind the hen. I waited for the second I had an open shot and when she moved I dropped him at 10 yards! This is my first bird, and a hunt I will never forget.
