This buck came cruising through at 7:45 opening morning. Was able to stop him in my only opening that direction at about 80 yds before he made it directly downwind of me. From spotting him until the shot was less than 20 seconds. The shot felt very rushed and I was unsure of the hit. Waited a little over an hour to get down and look for evidence of a hit. Very little blood to be found but it turned out to be a heart shot and he only made it about 65yds. His size truly surprised me when finding him. Grandpa came out and helped with the recovery at 84 years young! Green scored at 152 7/8” making him my biggest by 3 inches!
