It was getting late in the morning, so I decided to do one last grunt call. The buck quickly appeared and started coming towards me. As he got closer, a limb broke off a tree with a loud crack scaring the him back the way he came. I thought it was all over, but I could still the buck in the distance. I started grunting and to my surprise he started coming in again. When he got to 28 yards I took the shot. He ran about 100 yards and piled up.
